For many of us, there are times in our life when it can be helpful to talk to someone outside of our circle of family and friends, safe in the knowledge that what we talk about won't be shared elsewhere. Maybe there are aspects of our life that are difficult to speak about, losses we are struggling to cope with, or changes we want to make.
Life can present us with many challenges, and as human beings we can suffer and struggle in many different ways. Allowing ourselves the space to explore the challenges of our own particular life and circumstances, and how we habitually respond, can enable us to understand and accept ourselves more fully, and to live life more as we wish to live it.
Counselling offers a safe, confidential space for you to share any aspect of your life, helping you to understand your experience, and support you in changes you may want to make.
You may want to set specific goals for your counselling sessions, or you may wish to simply see what unfolds. Either is fine, and I will work in a way that respects your individual needs and preferences. The pace and the focus is set by you. I can work in a variety of ways, and will be guided by you as to which approaches seem most helpful and relevant. For more information about my therapeutic training and approaches, please read About.
Appointments are generally available on Fridays or Saturday mornings in Kings Heath. If these times do not suit you, please contact me to discuss other possible options.
I charge £40-£60 per session. I offer this as a sliding scale, for you to pay the amount you feel is most appropriate to your current financial circumstances.
Please provide at least 48 hours notice for cancellations if possible. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice or appointments not attended will be charged at full rate.
